Creating accessible, scalable design foundations for regulated products

Admiral’s design system is the foundation behind a wide range of digital products across the organisation’s UK and international brands. Built to meet stringent FCA regulatory standards, the system enables cross-functional teams to design and deliver faster, more consistently, and with greater confidence. As a Senior UI Designer, I guide its development, governance, and rollout—ensuring accessibility, performance, and cross-platform cohesion across Admiral’s digital estate.

My Role

• Jointly guided the design and evolution of Admiral’s Figma-based design system

• Ensured all components met WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards

• Aligned the system with live components via Storybook and dev collaboration

• Created documentation and tooling to support adoption across teams

• Mentored designers and supported governance processes at scale
