OpenTV
NAGRA OpenTV is a modular streaming platform used by major operators like ClaroTV to deliver premium content across devices. I led the redesign of ClaroTV’s homepage experience, focusing on content discovery, personalisation, and visual clarity. Additionally, I overhauled the backend service layer for TV providers, introducing a unified navigation system that streamlined access to various tools and services. This redesign enhanced usability and operational efficiency across the OpenTV ecosystem.

Product Designer – OpenTV Platform (ClaroTV)
Elevating the end-to-end experience for operators and viewers
NAGRA OpenTV is a white-label TV and streaming platform used by major telecom operators to deliver premium content across devices. As part of a global design team, I led the redesign of the homepage experience for ClaroTV, OpenTV’s most prominent client, and overhauled the complex backend portal used by TV providers to manage their services.
The goal was twofold: enhance the viewer experience through a cleaner, more discoverable front-end, and simplify the operational workflows for providers by reducing tool fragmentation and interface complexity.
My Role
Redesigned the ClaroTV homepage for smart TV, web, and mobile platforms
Created a dynamic content-first UI to support regional, live, and on-demand media
Helped develop the foundation navigation & UX architecture for the provider-facing backend across OpenTV’s toolset.
Introduced a top-level navigation layer to unify disparate backend tools
Collaborated with global engineering teams to ensure design scalability across deployments
Key Features Designed
A modular homepage layout showcasing featured, trending, and live content
Personalised recommendations and content carousels optimised for remote navigation
Unified navigation for backend services (billing, scheduling, metadata, etc.)
Responsive admin dashboard UI supporting multiple user roles and permissions
Scalable design patterns for both operator white-labelling and content localisation
